Core Network Routing Topics Course

Course Summary

This course is over 5 hours long and will cover everything from IPv4 and IPv6 addressing and subnetting to Default routes, Static routes, and Static Floating routes in both IPv4 and IPv6.
We will also cover the routing protocols such as RIPv2, RIPng, EIGRPv2, and EIGRP for IPv6 and OSPFv2/OSPFv3.

We will be using several “show commands” to look at different aspects of the routing protocol's behavior and if it's working correctly.
We will also use different methods of configuring the routing protocols, such as using network statements or enabling them under the interface.

DISCLAIMER:   Please note that the simulators/emulators used in this course are not part of the course. It is the student’s responsibility to have these to practice with. The Cisco Packet Tracer or CML2 (Cisco Modeling Labs 2) is Cisco proprietary software and can only be obtained through Cisco. It is up to each student to obtain the simulator/emulator of their choice to study along with this course. If you cannot get hold of the CPT, remember that you have other options, like GNS3, Boson, or even live equipment. You should use any of the simulators mentioned above to follow the course.

Students will get a thorough understanding of how the routing process works, and they will also learn how to configure all inter-networking components using the EVE-NG simulator.

Students will be configuring RIPv2, RIPng, EIGRPv2, EIGRP for IPv6, OSPFv2 and OSPFv3.

Students will understand how to manipulate each routing protocol's attributes to meet the requirements of the network.

Hands-on labs will be used to drill down the concepts learned in each lecture using EVE-NG.   My method will make you feel like sitting in a classroom environment and give you the most needed hands-on experience!    This course is designed to help students become comfortable with the routing concepts and configurations.

Still, it will also help prepare them for any networking certification or Real-world scenarios, not to mention that for those already in the field, it will further  improve routing decisions in their particular networks.
